Tensor was recorded in a diverse range of resonant environments – from the cavernous acoustics of a church cathedral to the raw, oppressive echoes of a World War I cavern, from various industrial complexes to mining shafts and miners’ Waschkaue. Each location imprints its own spectral presence onto the recordings, allowing the space itself to become an instrument. Each composition is an act of deconstruction and reformation, an interrogation of sound and space that transforms every performance into a real-time sound installation.
