A work titled “Early Morning in Mesnjak Forest” has been selected among the 15 best field recording pieces of the past decade and is featured on the album The First Ten Years: Field Recordings, curated by the internationally recognized platform Cities and Memory. The album brings together sound artists, acoustic ecologists, and recordists working across multimedia and film, selected from a vast archive of more than 7,000 recordings contributed by over 2,000 creators from 130 countries.

This selection forms part of the broader global project led by Cities and Memory, considered one of the largest sound projects in the world, connecting artists from across the planet through an extensive sonic map. The First Ten Years: Field Recordings offers a compelling glimpse into remarkable soundscapes documenting nature, cultural practices, and defining historical moments of our time, including the pandemic, migration, and protest movements. The inclusion of our member’s work in this anniversary release represents an important international recognition within the field of contemporary sound art and field recording.
